"Hana Goza", a rush rug made with igusa from Chikugo in Fukuoka Prefecture, is constructed using
a traditional method called "Kakegawa Ori". First invented in the Edo era, Kakegawa Ori
is recognized as one of the specialty crafts of cultural significance by the Government of Fukuoka.
From growing igusa to weaving, every process is done by hand.
This reversible area rug is hand-woven from carefully selected igusa and
it is highly durable, soft to the touch.
