Yakumo painting is named after an old poetry that describes Izumo. It is a technique of painting a pattern with colored lacquer on wood, then coating it with a transparent lacquer. As the product ages, the drawn pattern emerges more vividly. Motif of the design is 'a tsubaki flower couple and two leaves', a symbol of good marriage and relationship.
